Sexsmith Insurance has been an active business for Sexsmith and area for the past 87 years. The company was first established in 1921 by Chester Elliott and Jess Thuresoon. These two pioneers set the platform for one of the towns most stable and community minded business. Ownership has changed hands several times throughout the years until the current owners, Dennis and Marcie Milligan, took on this venture in 1992.
Continuing with the traditions set at the inception of the business, Sexsmith Insurance maintains their presence in numerous community involvements. Some of these include; the Chamber of Commerce, financial supporter of community events, sponsor in local fairs and 4H achievement days, supporter of local athletes and sports teams. These are just a few of the involvements.
Since taking over the business in 1992 the first priority under the new management was to encourage continual education. "The better the insurance knowledge the better we can provide for our customers." Education upgrading continues to be monitored on a monthly basis. Our membership in the provincial Insurance Brokers Association (IBAA) is also a statement of professional commitment to all of our clientele.
Since 1994 we have been able to expand our client services to anyone in any location in Alberta. With the use of fax machines and the internet we can now provide our expertise and exceptional services to residents anywhere in the Province.
